Claim: Yes, earning a Baccalaureate degree is a wonderful feeling but no it does not make you intelligent.

Reason: because a lot of people just do the miniumum things in school to just get by.And intelligence is the ability to understand and deal with new situations. So anyone can be intelligent without having a degree and some are in college past a baccalaureate degree and their smarts are not all there.

Warrant: There are some professionals that have many degrees but data is changing everyday and they may not know something that a student going to school may know.

  1. edesha, you must describe your definition of intelligence here so that your classmates can provide supporting evidence that proves a ba doesn't make you intelligent, and can also help you find arguments against your point so you can treat both sides in your paper. brooke fontenot in my morning class is writing on this, and you are both taking the same side. here's her blog url, maybe you ladies can compare notes: http://brookelfontenot.blogspot.com/.

  2. I know very many people who are highly intelligent and they have not attended college. You can become intelligent by reading on your own and having the natural ability to comprehend and learn easily. A bachelor's degree is a way of saying I'm educated and here is my proof. While not having one is saying yeah, I'm smart, I just do not have the papers to prove it.
