Week 13 Post

My problem is the lack of service that they have on campus. It is either internet service being down or cell phone service being out of reach. It affects everyone that needs access on campus and the students that use on a daily basis. Some students can not turn in their assignments, cannot get in touch with their relatives or other people they need to talk to, and you can loose out on homework time, because soem teachers post their assignments online. My solution to this problem is better service systems or putting satallites on soe buildings between the places where the service gives out the most.

    1. What will happen in case of an emergency and cell phone service is down?
    2. In case of an alert sent to our cell phones from the university, how are we suppose to get them if the service is that bad?
    3. If this is someone's home that lives on campus, shouldn't internet service be a must in order to complete assignments?

    i completely agree. I have experienced these problems, both and they need to be fixed, asap. Good argument!

    1.)how much time and effort will be needed to fix the solution?
    2.) Will UL have to pay companies for having service towers?
    3.) can the campus be completely dependent on these towers? tornadoes? hurricanes?

    Interesting and arguable.

    I think it is bit of a problem, but they may not be willing to put service towers up for cell phones. I think they will rather do it for wifi.

    1) What'll happen if the wifi suddenly goes out?
    2) Can they build strong enough towers?
    3) How can we get in reach during emergencies with bad reception?
